Hello, my name is Misty Hines and I am a media critic. I analyze all different types of media. I make sure they are what they say they are. If a movie is meant to be a dramatic thriller, when I criticize, I use certain rubrics and specific criteria to grade it on a scale, and then I give my honest report of the movie and look at what effort I put into the movie. Was there evidence-based research? Why did the directions use certain angles for specific scenes? I take all of that into account. I love all things media, but the things that I am drawn to the most are things that talk about the human condition and humanity as a whole. I have always been attracted to psychology and the mind, and I feel like the biggest display of that shows up in movies. I love to learn more about myself, and seeing media that causes me to look deeper inside myself helps me learn more about who I am and who I’m trying to become in my relationship with the media. So, as a young child, I used to be very invested in everything that I watched. It didn’t matter what it was, but I was definitely emotionally attached to the characters in the storyline in the project as a whole. I never understood it. Most of this was through movies or TV shows, but also through music as a young adult, media that I choose to consume, helps frame my mind to see how the world is changing and how things are different from where I started to where I am now. It’s always insightful to me, like I said, some of the genres of things that I’m into are typically something that is psychological cause you to think, talks about humanity or the human condition, a movie or a series that is relatable but also still brings hope and inspiration. I also really like romantic movies because I love to see how producers writes and directions try to fabricate or create real emotions from nothing its amazing to see how other view  As much as I learned love learning about life and looking deeper into myself I watch TV or consume media to sometimes escape my real world sometimes life is hard and it can be challenging and stressful, and it’s nice to be able to have a place to escape to that brings me joy that I may not have in my life and allows me to imagine world where I could have certain things or Hope for certain things so I’m honestly there’s nothing specific that I’m tied to, but I do tend to like think media that makes you think I’m not sure what this says about my point of view but I’m hoping that it says that I’m an understanding person with an open mind who wants to learn the most I care about themselves and others to create more peace, prosperity, and unity in the world. I think the media can have a very significant impact on anyone if they choose to let it
